Indian Oil Corporation Limited, the largest commercial undertaking in India and a Fortune “Global 500” Company, as a measure of Skill Building Initiative for the Nation, proposes to engage Technical and Non-Technical Trade & Technician Apprentices at its Locations in States of South India (Tamil Nadu & Puducherry, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana).



  • Qualification Level: ITI/ Diploma, Bachelor Degree/Graduate, Engineering Diploma/ Degree
  • Total Vacancies : 344

1. TRADE APPRENTICE- FITTER, ELECTRICIAN, ELECTRONIC MECHANIC, INSTRUMENT MECHANIC AND MACHINISTNo. of Vacancies: 150 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Matric pass with two year ITI in respective trade.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 24 years as on 31.08.2018.


2. TRADE APPRENTICE- ACCOUNTANT
No. of Vacancies: 100 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Graduate in any discipline with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% in case of SC/ST/PwD candidates) from a recognized Institute/ University.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 24 years as on 31.08.2018.

3. TECHNICIAN APPRENTICE- MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL, INSTRUMENTATION, CIVIL, ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONICS AND ELECTRONICS
No. of Vacancies: 94 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Three years Diploma in Engineering in respective discipline from a recognized Institute/ University with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% in case of SC/ST candidates).
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 24 years as on 31.08.2018.



  • For Discipline Code 56/57/58/59/60: PwBD candidates with less than 40% of permanent disability are NOT eligible. The PwBD candidates are required to submit a Disability Certificate issued by Competent Authority as per the Persons with Disabilities (equal opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Amended Rules, 2009, failing which their candidature as PwBD candidates will not be considered. Persons with Disabilities must be capable of performing the task assigned to them/take instructions using suitable aids and appliances.

  • The candidates who have undergone Apprenticeship earlier or pursuing Apprenticeship Training in an Industry as per the Apprenticeship Act, 1961/1973 as amended from time to time or job experience for a period of 1 year or more are NOT eligible

  • Applicants who have completed 3 YEARS after acquiring the prescribed qualification for engagement of TECHNICIAN APPRENTICE i.e, Diploma in Engineering in the relevant discipline shall NOT BE ELIGIBLE for engagement as Technician Apprentice.



  • The vacancies are in the states of Southern Region of India namely Tamil Nadu & Puducherry, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The candidates will undergo Apprenticeship Training for a period One year
