Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) is inviting application from the eligible candidates for 58 posts of Diploma Trainee (Electrical/ Civil), Junior Officer Trainee (HR) and Junior Technician Trainee (Electrical). The vacancies are for Eastern Region Transmission System-II of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL). 1. DIPLOMA TRAINEE (ELECTRICAL)
No. of Vacancies: 25 Nos. (UR-13, OBC-05, SC-06, ST-01. Out of the total posts, 01 post is reserved for PWD and 04 posts for ESM)
Educational Qualification: Diploma in Electrical Engineering from recognized Technical Board/ Institute, with minimum 70% marks in aggregate (pass marks for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates).
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 27 years as on 02/10/2018.
Pay Scale: Rs.16000 – 35500/-
2. DIPLOMA TRAINEE (CIVIL)
No. of Vacancies: 05 Nos. (UR-03, OBC-01, SC-01)
Educational Qualification: Diploma in Civil Engineering from recognized Technical Board/ Institute, with minimum 70% marks in aggregate (pass marks for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates).
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 27 years as on 02/10/2018.
Pay Scale: Rs.16000 – 35500/-
3. JUNIOR OFFICER TRAINEE (HR)
No. of Vacancies: 03 Nos. (UR)
Educational Qualification: Two years full time PG Diploma in Personnel Management course (or) MHRM (or) MSW (with Personnel Management as main subject) or MBA (02 years full time with specialization in HR) or equivalent from recognized Institute with minimum 55% marks in aggregate.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 27 years as on 02/10/2018.
Pay Scale: Rs.16000 – 35500/-
4. JUNIOR TECHNICIAN TRAINEE (ELECTRICAL)
No. of Vacancies: 25 Nos. (UR-13, OBC-06, SC-06. Out of the total posts, 01 post is reserved for PWD and 04 posts for ESM)
Educational Qualification: ITI in Electrician Trade of two years duration from a recognized Institute.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 27 years as on 02/10/2018.
Pay Scale: Rs.11500-26000/-
The vacancies are for Eastern Region Transmission System-II of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL).
The selected candidates will undergo Training for a period of One year at POWERGRID sites and Training Institute. During the training period Stipend of Rs.16,500/- per month will be paid to Diploma Trainee (Electrical/ Civil) & Junior Officer Trainee (HR) and Rs.11500/- per month to Junior Technician Trainee (Electrical).
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Computer Based Test, Computer Skill Test and Trade Test wherever applicable. The Computer Based Test will be held at the following centers- Kolkata, Siliguri, Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.
Application Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.300/- for the post of Diploma Trainee (Electrical / Civil) & Junior Officer Trainee (HR) and Rs.200/- for the post of Junior Technician Trainee (Electrical) as Application Fee.
Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking or any other option available. See officially released advertisement for more details.
NO APPLICATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF SC/ST/PWD/EX-SM/ DEPARTMENTAL CANDIDATES.

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
